White Crowned Sparrow (Magee Marsh, Ohio)

This White Crowned Sparrow was spotted on the bechnear the Magee Marsh boardwalk in Crane Creek State Park on Saturday, May 11, 2013. It was rummaging through the sand for tiny worms. Watch closely and you will see it catch and eat one. In the photo to the right, the bird's head feathers are puffed up like a Cardinal's Crest.
